Documentation

Let's make this clear now: You have nothing without solid documentation of your hardware item. It must be understood that documentation enables engineering change orders, design enhancement, and increases manufacturing yeilds not to mention sustaining engineering efforts. All engineers past, present, and future will benefit from a well documented project.

Hardware Modularity

A very popular topic in the military and commercial avionics sectors. Modularity allows for cost reduction in the manufacturing and production processes. It augments reduced NRE for what might be a series of projects for a single product while simultaneously answering various design needs with one board or board-set. An added benefit would be an accelerated maturity period for the module (because as a module it could live in more than one product).

New Board Debug, Test, Bring-up

Another TDE trademark ability is in hardware systems debug, test, and bring-up. Our history, with the various designs we have contrived or have been asked to take over, shows that we can bring a new development project to functional closure. We have solved issues such as PCB fabrication errors with blind and buried vias, standards violations with vendor ICs, over heating of components, power rail noise, timing, embedded coding errors, loading issues, and of course updating incorrect hardware architecture.
